Acted in the play ‘Toposshi O Torongini’ (The Hermit and the Harlot) at AACT WorldFest in Florida, USA, held at Venice Theater as part of an international festival. Another show was performed at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center (JPAC) in New York, organized by the Bangladesh Institute of Performing Arts (BIPA).

Shining in the Spotlight at the 14th Biennial Liverpool International Theatre Festival
Mashud Sumon performed in Loko Natyadal’s play ‘Kanjush’ (based on Molière’s ‘The Miser’) at The Astor Theatre during the 14th Biennial Liverpool International Theatre Festival, held from 18-21 October 2021 in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada. The production received critical acclaim, winning the group award for ‘Outstanding Visual Production (Kanjush)’ at the closing and award ceremony. Sumon was also nominated for the ‘Outstanding Supporting Actor’ award, recognizing his impactful performance on the international stage.

Revisiting the USA with Kanjush (The Miser)
Mashud performed in the USA, showcasing “Kanjush” (The Miser) at the AACT Theatre Fest in Florida, further solidifying his international reputation and contributing to the troupe’s recognition with a group award. The Loko Natyadal’s play “Kanjush” (based on Moliere’s “The Miser”) was performed at the AACT World Fest 2014 held in Florida, USA, on 17 & 18 June 2014. The members of the troupe received the ‘OUTSTANDING COSTUME AWARD’ during a grand ceremony on the closing evening of the festival on 21 June, reflecting their exceptional contribution to the event.
